NBJ Summit Health & Safety Information

The health & safety of our NBJ Summit community remains our top priority as we return to in-person events. We are prepared to manage the event in accordance with federal and local regulations, as well as the Informa AllSecure Plan, ensuring the highest standards of safety, hygiene, cleanliness and operational effectiveness for all show participants. We will be updating the website in the coming weeks with more detailed information around what you can expect when you attend NBJ Summit and the measures we will be putting in place to ensure your safety.

Informa AllSecure: Our Commitment to Your Safety

The event will be organized in accordance with Informa AllSecure health and safety standards. NBJ Summit will feature hand sanitation units, face mask requirements for unvaccinated attendees, enhanced cleaning, and general precautions and considerations for the overall health of our community.

Cleaning & Hygiene

Under Informa AllSecure standards, NBJ Summit will facilitate cleaning and hygiene through the following processes:

Cleaning & Hygiene

Under Informa AllSecure standards, NBJ Summit will facilitate cleaning and hygiene through the following processes:

Enhanced Cleaning

Cleaning practices have been enhanced to ensure standards are exceeded for disinfecting and hygiene with an increased focus on key touchpoints, including high-traffic areas, handles and rails, restrooms, food & beverage areas and registration desks. Consistent day and night sanitizations are completed with EPA-certified cleansers that are CDC-compliant. The Omni La Costa Resort has increased cleaning of HVAC systems and replacement of air filters.

Personal Hygiene

NBJ Summit will provide hand sanitizer stations throughout the event space and encourage all participants to regularly wash and disinfect their hands.

Physical Distancing

Under Informa AllSecure standards, NBJ Summit will facilitate physical distancing through the following processes:

Limited-Contact

All attendees are required to register online before the show to enable quicker entry. Badges will be printed prior to the show. The general session room and meeting spaces will be modified to allow for limited touch and proper social distancing.

Crowd Density Standard (CDS)

NBJ Summit will maintain density of participants in accordance with local authority regulations and venue guidance. This will be managed through capped registration numbers, outdoor dining, and socially distanced seating arrangements.

Physical Contact

NBJ Summit encourages sharing information digitally by connecting through the NBJ Summit mobile app rather than exchanging business cards to limit physical contact.

Food and Beverage

All meals have been designed to be enjoyed outside in the beautiful California weather. Kitchens will be deep cleaned and sanitized at a higher frequency including the cleaning of food prep stations after each use. All dining tables, chairs and common furniture will be disinfected after each guest use, following CDC and EPA guidelines.

The Omni La Costa Resort will not be offering in-room dining at this time. To review other dining options, click here.

Protect and Detect

Under Informa AllSecure standards, NBJ Summit will facilitate required health protocols and assistance through the following processes:

Personal Health Accountability

We highly encourage all guests to either receive a COVID-19 vaccine prior to the event, or, receive a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of arrival.

If you are feeling sick or have recently been exposed to someone who is sick, we kindly ask that you stay home and participate in the event virtually.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Per CDC and California Department of Public Health guidelines, unvaccinated individuals are required to wear a face covering while indoors.

NBJ Summit participants who are fully vaccinated are not required to wear a face covering. We do encourage anyone who feels more comfortable wearing a face covering during the event to do so, and we will make masks available to participants who would like to wear one.

Omni Safe & Clean Initiative

The Omni Safe & Clean initiative follows the guidelines set forth by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and each individual Omni location will adhere to local and/or federal mandates. Protocols and guidelines from these authorities are expected to evolve, and as such, so will the processes and procedures. Similarly, these guidelines meet or exceed the “Stay Safe” initiative set forth by the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA). Click here for  more information about Omni Safe & Clean

Informa AllSecure FAQs

Informa AllSecure is the approach we are taking to enhancing the health and safety standards in place at Informa events following COVID-19.

From exhibitors to sponsors, speakers, visitors and journalists, those who come to our events come to connect, learn, know more and do more business, effectively and safely.

The standards and practices that make up Informa AllSecure are designed to provide confidence that at every Informa event, we are striving to provide the highest standards of safety, hygiene, cleanliness, and quality.

Informa AllSecure is based on a set of event industry standards, called All Secure.

The All Secure industry standards were developed collaboratively by a group including industry associations UFI, AEO and SISO, event organisers Informa, Reed Exhibitions and Clarion, a range of event venues, suppliers and with input from health, government, and local authorities.

Informa AllSecure is the way these industry-wide All Secure standards are being applied to Informa events.

You can expect to see that health and safety is a priority and that a range of measures are in place to ensure everyone involved is able to enjoy a safe, hygienic, productive, and high-quality organized event experience.

As a starting point, Informa AllSecure events will be run according to the guidance of government or official authority guidance, and according to any venue-specific regulations. In addition, all Informa AllSecure events follow ten key commitments around hygiene, physical distancing, and protection & detection, with additional measures in place where relevant and practical.

No environment or space inside or outside of the home can ever be 100% safe.

At controlled event gatherings like Informa events and through Informa AllSecure, we have put in place a comprehensive range of enhanced standards that make the health and safety of everyone who attends a priority.

Through measures such as enhanced deep cleaning before, during and after events, non-contact registration, distancing and crowd management, and the deployment of screening and recommendation of protective equipment, we are striving to provide the highest standards of safety, hygiene and cleanliness, and to ensure that following COVID-19, our customers, partners and colleagues can connect, learn, know more and do business effectively, safely and with confidence.

We are contacting all participants before the event to let them know what to expect at the event and how to prepare. Upon arrival, signage will be displayed throughout the venue to remind everyone of the enhanced health and safety measures that are in place, and our expectations of all visitors.

We are also using technology to reduce the need for physical contact, for example, connecting via mobile app rather than exchanging business cards, and actively managing visitor flow to ensure physical distancing can be maintained.

Per Omni La Costa resort requirements, Face masks are required while inside the resort, and will be available onsite if a guest does not have one of their own.

The above information is subject to change as we continue to track this situation and receive guidance from state and local health authorities, the Omni La Costa Resort, the CDC and WHO, and we will provide regular and timely updates to help the community best prepare for NBJ Summit.
